5 Capitals worked alongside the lead architects and engineers Arif & Bintoak and with the TDIC Team to develop the Sustainability Strategy for the major accommodation and community project planned for Sir Bani Yas Island. This was required to comply with the Abu Dhabi Estidama Green Building code and specifically the Pear Rating system.
5 Capitals developed the sustainability strategy for the Client Team by leading a series of workshops for the Client and specialists as part of the integrated design process. This ensured that all aspects of the design from engineering and architecture to specialist areas such as fire safety, infrastructure, ecology, water and energy use etc. were all considered within the sustainability strategy and the subsequent detailed plans.
5 Capitals was responsible for all aspects of the modeling associated with sustainability design including Energy Modelling, CFD Modelling with external wind and shading analysis and internal shading and climate comfort etc.
The documentation for the project was developed up to the stage of submission to the Urban Planning Council.
